About Megan Bain

My name is Megan Bain and I am a Senior majoring in Professional Selling. Since being involved in the ProSales program for 3 years now, I have grown by competing in many sales competitions, coaching competition teams, attending professional development events, and developing sales skills from interning and networking with executives. This year I will lead the ProSales program by organizing Spring Top Gun and recruiting new members on the Recruitment team. Outside of ProSales, I continue to compete and lead other campus organizations. For example, I am the President of the Baylor Wakeboarding team which is the largest club sport at Baylor with over 110 members. I also fundraise with my sorority Delta Delta Delta, and have personally raised over $3000 in the past three years involved to help our chapter be the #1 fundraising chapter for our philanthropy St. Jude. I am confident with my leadership experience, competitive personality, and strong work ethic that I am prepared to succeed in a future sales career.

Points of Difference

ADAPTABLE, INTENTIONAL, MOTIVATED

I am able to adapt to new environments easily by engaging early and meeting new people and going out of my comfort zone to take risks.

I am intentional with each relationship I build and enjoy building real relationships with different types of people. In a sales role I will be able to build relationships with different types of customers.

I am motivated by engaging early in different opportunities and achieving my goals. I was 1 of 5 freshman that got accepted into Baylor Professional Selling Program in which most students join a year later and jumped into my first sales competition. In the past 3 ½ years I’ve been in the program, I have developed sales skills, through competitions, classes, and workshops. It is crucial in sales to stay motivated when setting goals and meeting deadlines.

Experience

Baylor Wake

I've been involved in the Baylor Wakeboarding team since my Freshman year. I am currently the first  female President of the club, and both Sophomore and Junior year I was the scheduling manager where I scheduled over 100 members their weekly ride times.

Baylor Delta Delta Delta

I have been an active member of my sorority, Tridelta, for the past three years. In fall of 2018 I was a part of the Homecoming Float Committee when our float placed 2nd. Also I have personally raised $3000 for our philanthropy St. Jude, helping our chapter be the #1 fundraising chapter in the nation for 3 years in a row!

European Business Seminar

Traveled abroad in the summer of 2018 to 6 different European countries. I was accepted into the program through the Baylor Business School. We networked with 16 different companies and learned about how businesses operate across the country. Throughout the trip, we worked on presentations and projects for course credit while having a blast visiting fascinating cities!

Silent Auction Manager

In fall of 2018 I managed students for Baylor ProSale's annual Silent Auction. My team raised $2,080 for the program. I personally acquired 3 items, each with $100 value, and assisted several students in finding donations.

Waitress

Growing up, I developed customer service and management skills from my experience as a waitress at Jules Thin Crust. Being a high school student while working everyday required me to work on managing my time well, along with my finances.
